The service

SpentStory helps you understand spending from your own bank statement PDFs. It is a personal finance tool, not financial, tax, or investment advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you upload and how you use the insights.

Your account

You must provide accurate contact information and keep your password secure. You may not share your account or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, automated scraping or attempts to overwhelm our systems).

Your content

You retain ownership of the data you upload. You grant us permission to process statement PDFs solely to provide the service — extract transactions, categorise them, and display them back to you. Do not upload statements or files you do not have the right to use.

Plans and billing

SpentStory offers Basic, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Basic is free and includes your signup month and the month before, with up to three statement uploads per month (six total). Pro is Rs 250 per month and unlocks extended history, more uploads, monthly comparisons, and export features shown on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Safepay in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).

Cancellations and refunds

SpentStory does not sell physical goods, so there are no product returns — this section is our complete cancellation and refund policy for paid subscriptions.

You may cancel a Pro subscription at any time from Settings, or by emailing[email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not prorate or refund the unused portion of a cancelled period.

Fees already charged are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law, or where you were charged in error — for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after you had already cancelled. To request a refund for a billing error, email us with your account email and the charge date; confirmed errors are refunded to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Availability

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change as the product evolves. During early access, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpentStory is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on categorised transactions or charts.
